Change OF dimensions?

I have no idea what it takes to get a change of dimensions of the ballpark approved but. . .

Would anyone else be in favor of a change of shape of the outfield fence and the move fences in SLIGHTLY to move Anaheim slightly away from pitcher/neutral park?

The game is changing whether we like it or not.

I think the playing field here is a bit stale.  Angels staying til 2029.

How about adding some interest?

With how many home runs the Angels gave up this year you want to see more?

I hear you but do you understand if you are often overmatched in power, the shorter the fences are the more that is equalized.

Pujols is never, ever hitting other 440 foot homer.

I wouldn't mind some of his 385 foot "blasts" being a homer rather than a flyout.

If I was a small market club I'd build a park with a huge outfield, lots of foul ground and really fast turf. I'd also consider pairing a super deep left field with a super shallow right field porch, and drafting a left handed heavy team.

I feel like this is kinda the red sox's mentality (or at least it should be). They have an extremely asymmetrical field, so they can almost moneyball it to fit their field specifically.

I feel like the bleacher seats in left are kind of weird being behind the bullpen and low.  How about move LF in about 8 feet (with some jaunt in the OF wall) and bring those LF seats forward and up higher.  Rexonfigire the space between the LF seats and the rock stuff to relocate the bullpen so it isn't between the fans and the game.

With the weather we have here, it is also kind of dumb that there isn't an outside patio restaurant/bar somewhere in LF/CF where you can sit at a table and see the game easily.

Fans closer.  Social outside eating/beer garden type of thing where you can see the game.  A few more homers with the fence moved a bit.  And more interesting plays with a jaunt in the OF fence (more triples?).

What is the downside?

it's never the wrong time to hammer a douchebag into the ground. i'd say it's your patriotic duty.

make america great again?

You should be able to live a normal life with a douchebag in the white house.

Yet many are showing they can't.

It's both sad and boring.  That's my opinion.

Yes. I like the idea of forcing your opponent to choose between the pitching matchup and the field dimensions. Putting the left field wall 400 feet away will make you think twice about stacking your lineup with righties against a left-handed pitcher.

Yeah, left/center field are awkward.  I'd leave right field alone, tear out the cheesy rocks and left field bleachers, put the big A back where it belongs, and turn the rest of left field into a big flat area with an outside bar and some kids stuff, kind of like how it originally looked.

I'd like to see a setup where the walls move between half-innings, so the dimensions are 380 to center while the Angels are batting, and 425 when the other team is batting.

That is so funny.  When I was a kid I described to my Dad a secret plan the Angels should have to have little hidden motors move the fences in the alleys in like maybe a foot after the top of the inning so the Angels would have a tiny advantage when they hit.  "Dad nobody would notice because nobody would even think of it!"

It gets pretty hot out in RF during the summer. They need to tear out those rocks and install a pool.

Haha.

Then again, I'm sure the Angels would still allow more HR than they hit in such a scenario.
