Perhaps they weren't in rifle cases.  I've been to Vegas more times than I can remember and I've never seen anyone have a bag searched nor do they pay attention to how many times you walk up with bags.  As you said though he could have said it was for a gun show and no one would think twice.  They have the ranges out there were you can go with friends to fire off heavy duty automatic rifles and I have friends that have done it for bachelor parties.

You could just put the long rifles in a golf bag, and no one would blink an eye.  Rumor now is that the GF worked at Mandalay Bay, and the Doosh used her card key to get in the room.

Found out the girl I know was still there last night when the shooting started.  Her and all of her friends got out okay.  Hoping for the best for the rest that are still injured.

Lots more on the girlfriend here. A former "high-limit hostess" at a casino. They lived in Mesquite from January, 2017. Her Facebook page is gone but photos have been saved on this and other sites. I heard one report she's in custody in the Philippines and will be returning to Nevada, but authorities have apparently ruled her out as a suspect.

Did they say he had cases for all the guns?  Again, a couple large suitcases can easily conceal ten rifles and ammo.

ISIS claiming responsibility. At forst glance, youd think thats total bullshit. But, if this ex GF is in the PI (which has a ton of islamic extremists), and this guy had video equipment set up, who knows.

I'm going to guess that the days of being able to do anything like that will change.  Vegas hotels could end up looking like a TSA checkpoint at an airport.

Sadly my thought as well. Hardly certain as is anything but I doubt they are done investigating her by any means.
