3D Gun Printing

Recommended Posts

Do the barrels have rifling? This is what allows bullets to be matched to a particular gun as they are all unique. I know nothing about these printed guns except they (3D printers) are really expensive. I have issue with these as they would almost be undetectable in metal detectors.

I doubt they have rifling. The firing pin is still metal. From what Ive seen these guns arent expected to last past a couple dozen shots. And yes they are very expensive to produce.

I thought all homemade firearms like cane guns, zip guns and such were always illegal. Well at least in California

They are.  These are too.. so far, since they don't have serial numbers and aren't manufactured by licensed makers.  Some wacko media idiots already smuggled one (in pieces, with no firing-pin or ammo) onto the rail system (just to prove they're morons I guess).

These will get more reliable as more idiots are trying to make them; only the cost will be prohibitive for a while.  I wonder how super-douche Piers Moran thinks we should ban them....

The big issue is not them being illegal, or even illegal to make, its that the government is demanding the plans for an idea. Meanwhile the Anarchist Cookbook is available for sale as a book and online. The excuse the Feds came up with was unjust. The simple fact that an idea can scare the Feds this much should be alarming. Hell theres a democrat saying there needs to be background checks on 3d Printer sales.

A couple dozen shots can do a lot of damage.
