That is the exact problem with scioscia and the entire team right now. There is no urgency at all on the team. The bullpen is rested and you need to play this game all out to win and avoid the sweep. Our bullpen sucks but I am pretty sure we have guys who can get 3 1/3 outs.

To be fair, Vargas's pitch count was still fairly low at that point. If he was already over 100 pitches he should've been pulled, but in this case I can understand leaving him out there.

Lol the Scioscia supporters crack me up.  You don't leave a struggling left handed pitcher in to face a righty with the bases loaded when you have a RHP up in the bullpen.  That is why you have the RHP up.

You tell those guys to go all out for 3 1/3 innings. As a manager you have to convey to them how important it is to avoid the sweep and that they need to go out. Someone needs to light a fire under this teams ass. These guys sleep walk through nine innings
