All are Triple Crown winners.  Jimmie Foxx, Rogers Hornsby, and either Joe Medwick or Chuck Klein, I'm guessing.

I don't know the answer but I will take a couple of guesses, it has to be one of the few times Musial struck out three times in a game, if not the only time. My other guess would be the 3 guys who would later become announcers, White, McCarver and Shannon, which is just more of a coincidence.

The only time in a 22-year career and 3,026 games that Stan the Man struck out three times in a game. That was his final season too. Dick Ellsworth was the pitcher who got the trifecta. He was a 23-year old lefty who finished the season 22-10 with an ERA of 2.11.
