The only Dogs run scored in the 5th on a walk, sac bunt, SB, and a throwing error on the SB.   Their only hit (7th inning) played no part in the run scoring, and was a Johnson bloop double just out of Banks’ reach.   The walk and bloop double were the only two baserunners allowed by Hendley.

Imagine that having been a double no-hitter, if Banks catches Johnson’s blooper.   Only happened once (for 9 innings) in MLB history.

Even better, imagine the walk not happening and Banks catching Johnson’s bloop double.

Double 9 innings perfect games?
