Carlos Correa to Undergo Surgery on Thumb Injury; Expected to Miss 6-8 Weeks

I was watching the game yesterday when Correa swung and missed and came out of the game with a jammed thumb. I think he hurt sliding into home but had been playing hurt for a couple of games. It's the same surgery Trout had.

Nats Fun Facts: Current Angels are batting .300 against Jackson in 100 ABs.  Jackson's FIP against the Angels, however, is a stingy 0.381.

Angels Fun (?) Fact: Current Nats are batting .355 against Jesse Chavez in 31 ABs. His FIP against the Nats is a wincing 6.26.

Luis Valbuena is 6-for-18 lifetime against Edwin Jackson. Machete is 4-for-13 and Simba is 4-for-11.

Cron hits RHP better than LHP if you check the splits from last season when Cron played everyday. Platooning Cron hasn't worked so why keep doing it. It's smart to play Cron against LHP and not RHP---NOT

Cron - 2016
RHP .290/.336/.490/.827
LHP .237/.287/.387/.674

Valbuena - 2016
RHP .258/.362/.479/.841
LHP .267/.341/.400/.741

Harper goes yard..........

He's really ripping the ball this year,

What a difference a year makes.........

this year he is really challenging Trout (and now Aaron Judge) for FACE OF THE GAME status.......

last year - it wasn't even close.............this year, ADVANTAGE HARPER so far.
