I think you may seem some or a lot of this at the deadline. Someone like Maybin or perhaps Norris or Hernandez should bring back 2 prospects and I think you'll see Eppler's scouting background work some of its magic in obtaining useful and usable talent.

Giants hit a new low tonight as Atlanta scored 8 runs in the 5th inning off their bullpen. SF mounted a comeback in the 8th and 9th innings but came up short and lost 12-11.

The Mets, who were buried by the Dodgers this week, got healthy tonight in San Francisco, putting up 6 extra-base hits in the 2nd inning. They lead the woeful Giants, 7-1.
