Good read...

Wow, what a story. He seems to have a really good head on his shoulders, in addition to being a world-class athlete.

6-3, 205.  Nice big frame.  By comparison Andre Dawson was 6-3, 180 when he first came up.

I seem to recall Toe Nash was the same size... just sayin'...

Excited about this guy, but let's give him the time he needs...

Good read...

"...he’ll likely earn a signing bonus between $5 million and $6 million. Not bad for a kid who, on his recent 18th birthday, was worrying about approaching adulthood, independence and how to afford his growing affinity for the newest Jordan sneakers."

Maybe he should think about a pair of these, instead. Nike Lunar Trout 2 Rainbow Trout sneakers.

He was also the product of a broken home, a petty criminal, and notoriously uneducated -- he was completely illiterate.   But yes, it would be wise to give Adell the time he needs.

I get this feeling 9 other teams GMs will be talking about how they had Adell on their draft board but needed someone else, and the other 20 GMs will say he would have been their first pick as Adell picks up his ROY at age 20.

I thought about the same thing.

His overall tools give him the potential to be the best player taken in the draft when looking back 5 years down the road.

I'm pretty sure he knows how to play baseball.  If he didn't he would be an extremely risky pick.

Ya but there is a difference between showing a lot of promise against top high school talent, and playing in the big leagues. Obviously there is inherent risk with every high school pick, this guy just has mammoth upside.
