The Starting pitching has been really good the past couple weeks and the hitting overall has been too (especially in the power department). 

 

I'm getting excited again to watch Angels Baseball. 

 

Oh and what else can you say about What the Shuck? Dude has been pretty damn good in Bourjos' absence.

Everbody brings up the 2002 team starting 6-14. However, they went on an 8 game winning streak to get to 14-14. Last years' team started 18-25 and put together an 8 game winning streak to get to 26-25. I'd like to see this team at least put an 8-2 stretch together, or get back to .500 before I get too excited.

A lot of people doubted me (let's face it, laughed out loud to my face) when I said that Vargas was the true #2 guy behind Weaver.  Sounds like he did the job again tonight (I was blacked out).

A lot of people doubted me (let's face it, laughed out loud to my face) when I said that Vargas was the true #2 guy behind Weaver.  Sounds like he did the job again tonight (I was blacked out).

all of a sudden both hanson and vargas have sub 4 eras. granted their peripherals suck and they haven't been getting deep into games (same with wilson whos era sits at 4.04), but all three of these guys are a sum total of a little worse to about expected to this point. Wilson should be in the mid 3's and all should have about 4-5 more innings but overall, not the devil.

Blanton being awful was somewhat expected as well although not this awful. The Weaver injury has been huge assuming that even with his velo drop he'd be better than those replacing him. It was gonna happen though. The stretch of bad sp. The team was built to have the offense make up for that. It's gonna happen again at some point and hopefully, the offense will actually show their worth.

I was with you!  He was excited about being here (his home) and with his old friend - fellow Dirtbag Weaver.  He was an extremely likable guy by his teamates in Seattle, so there was a lot to like.
