Left-hander Nate Smith, the pitching prospect who was shut down last September because of biceps tendinitis, said the injury had bothered him for more than a month before he reported it to the team, on the eve of an expected call-up to the major leagues. He let the tendinitis heal and altered his off-season workout program, he said, in an attempt to prevent it from happening again.

From the LAtimes and Pedro Moura, I thought this was an interesting blurb.  Smith had a terrible stretch of starts from late july through mid August which coincides to the above.  Otherwise, he was solid in AAA last year pitching in that bandbox.  Even with his poor stretch, he had an FIP of 3.88.  He also had a swinging strike rate of 11.0%.  And on top of it, he's a fly ball pitcher.  Or at least he's not really a ground ball pitcher.  Point being that some guys are actually worse in the PCL than they would be in the majors.  Smith has the peripherals to be that type of guy.
