Got a really good feeling about Maybin. I think whatever they saw in Escobar and his ability to maintain a high average is comparable to what they saw in Maybin's performance last year, and they see potential that he's turned a corner.

Maybin should be a real upgrade over the guys they tried the last couple of years in LF.  Even an average performance would be a big help.

I like this guy already. He's never won a GG, or any other MLB award, he owns a very distinctive outfield stat of having committed more errors than assists, no All Star games, he's never played in a post season game, he's tested positive for amphetamines twice and was suspended for 25 games, he's been traded 5 times including twice by the very team that he claims was their clubhouse leader. Move over Mike, we have a new Centerfielder.

I hope this guy just STFU and give us 110%. Play solid defense and wreak havoc on the base paths. That would be something we haven't had in a long time.
