Apparently Trump sees lots of things on TV that no one else saw, like when he saw Muslims celebrating in New Jersey on 9/11.

He's still looking for the video he dreamed up.

On alt-right sites they've long pushed the idea that muslims are overrunning Western Europe and Sweden especially. Women are being raped, crime is rampant, there are "no go" areas for non-muslims and they claim this is all being covered up by the police, media, and government. This is just another example of the president* reading some internet comment section, or a report based on a internet comment section, and in his twisted warped reality it's suddenly fact.

You must be reading the invisible portion of my comment...because nowhere do I state that. It may or may not be happening, Sweden doesn't appear to be saying it does.

This is actually a pretty decent example of how rumors/memes move through the right wing websites, get picked up by a place like Fox News, and suddenly become fact in the minds of it's viewers.

I don't think people really appreciate how effective a tactic these blatant lies are. Especially when those who oppose him talk about it on social media and the like and it spreads like wildfire. The message that Sweden was attacked ends up being placed in many peoples mind.
