Sean and his family are lucky, could have been a lot worse.

I have to give Sean credit for being a baseball "survivor". He never met the expectations everyone placed on him, but here he is at 31 still playing in the majors. About to enter his 10th season, and coming off his most successful one. I think his versatility, and being able to play almost any position has helped keep him employed.

Hopefully he re-thinks that beard

Weirdly Rodriguez was probably the Angels 5th best middle infield prospect. Wood, Kendrick, Aybar, Callaspo, and then Rodriguez. Although I'm not sure Rodriguez was in the system before we traded Callaspo. I wish the Angels had 5 prospects as good as Rodriguez in their whole system right now.

Once threw my then-8-year-old son a ball at a game.  Has since been one of our favorite scruffy underachievers.  Glad he survived and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the family.

Wow that's a pretty abrupt turn for SRod. Hope it isn't anything too major.

Braves will be an interesting team this year. Phillies too. They employed a strategy similar to what the Angels have done.
