I still cannot believe that Donald Trump is POTUS.

it's absolutely crazy, isn't it?

i think some people don't realize just how amazing this is. Remember when people were shocked that Arnold was elected governor? that was nothing compared to what has occurred now, especially considering how hated Trump is by a lot of Americans. the fact that the dems, who were finishing up 8 years of Obama and his high approval rating, spent $1.2 BILLION on her campaign (Trump spent half that -$600M), still lost to him is incredible.  the guy is a narcissistic, loudmouthed wealthy real estate guy that hosts shitty reality tv shows, and he is now the most powerful man of the most powerful country on earth.

Unfuckingbelievable.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday and realized the Democrats losing is even more pathetic than it appears on the surface.

Donald Trump first had to win the nomination for the Republican party. He went through the same stuff with the other GOP candidates trying to discredit him and it backfired.

At least their excuse was no one thought he would get the nomination. Fast forward to him and Hillary squaring off and what do they do? The exact same tactic. They had the playbook of what not to do and chose to ignore it. It's one thing to lose to Donald and quite another to have the keys to winning but throw them aside.

Exactly. You just know the dems woke up on election day and their biggest worry was which outfit they should wear to the victory parties later that evening.

What color goes best with breaking a glass ceiling ?

She was a shitty candidate.

I'd take delight in that dejected look on her smug fucking face if it were anyone but the pussy grabber.

true, but that was the candidate the dems pushed down the throats of their collective party without even entertaining the thought that she may not be the best candidate to win the election.

Trump had to defeat both political parties to get where he is now.

The fact that he did it showed how put out a lot of people were with politics as usual.

A friend from the UK asked me about Trump and his popularity during the primary season. I told him that the best that I could explain it, Trump was the ultimate outsider. He had never sought nor held any political office before, and he said things that politicians just don't say. He said what he thought and he didn't worry about public opinion.

How that translates into national leadership, we are about to find out.

Maybe the next "non politician" elected won't be so much of an asshole

I'm thinking the Libertarians should be happy to see the two-party system shaken up, but instead many of them sound like their girl lost. Makes you wonder.

I've been waiting for years for an outsider to come in.

I just didn't want it to be Donald Trump.
