Anyone with basic cognitive skills knew it was bullshit. Similarly, anyone with said skills knew the birther argument was just as ridiculous. Too bad there aren't enough people that are actually capable of gathering information, fact checking, and making educated choices after. Much easier to follow sound bites and make choices from those.

we all know that these days memes are our best source of truth.

Pretty much.

BuzzFeed is about as credible as Breitbart.

haha.

this was savage af.

this is why i take a break and jump in every now and then to take in the rise and fall of threads from start to finish in one sitting. this one definitely met all parameters. when this started everyone was on board, jubilant, and all in. then someone drops some real findings that dismantle the initial topic completely and then everyone disappears, pulls out the "just kidding" or "we really knew it wasn't real" card, while there is one hopeful that still wants to believe while changing the conversation direction to make it seem like the news is relevant or real.....or deflect their initial post intention.

ps. was expecting way more with that urine chart and orange color. you guys might have been distracted from trying to  copy and paste twitter jokes or the comment section below the article.

Laugh. Bravo Lou. You called us out on a thread we highlighted as laughable right from the beginning! Nothing gets by you Gadget.

Lou was just doing what he normally does: Trolling libs. Cons were shooting the shit with everyone else but they were spared lol

And of course lurkers who don't really follow the news took this thread a bit too literally. It was a night of goofing around for the lulz. More to follow!

Ignoring the horrific notion that the president of the United States should be suing organizations that publish things he doesn't like and the impact that would have on a free press in this country. Actually, we shouldn't ignore that...it should send a cold shiver down your spine.

We should also pause for the moment and gawk in amazement at the notion that people (not saying you mr. wicked because I don't know your specific view on the subject) who actively cheer wikileaks and the publishing of stolen documents/emails (our president elect being one of them) are suddenly up in arms about the publishing of documents and information.

But, putting both of those items aside for a moment.

Buzzfeed did not create this dossier. A Buzzfeed reporter did not gather the information that was included in this report. Multiple sources have confirmed that the dossier, as Buzzfeed published, exist. They published a document that has been making the rounds, and actively discussed by our intelligence agencies, law enforcement, and elected officials. That dossier in and of itself is news. As citizens, we deserve to know that not only the dossier exists, but what it contains. If our intelligence communities and government officials are holding active discussions that the president elect, the most public or our public officials, might be comprised by a foreign state, it is our right to know.

He wouldn't be suing them because they published something he didn't like.  What a fucking joke.  He'd sue them for publishing something about him that isn't true.

Again, imagine if Obama had done that.  Thousands of lawsuits over the eight years.  However, Trump is already threatening to do it before he even takes office. This is unique in our lifetime.  To pretend it isn't is just ridiculous.

And to pretend he would do it because "he doesn't like it" is equally ridiculous.

Your right to sue someone for slander isn't taken from you after being elected President.

The press have been losing their minds lately. I'm sure they'll enjoy possibly being removed from the West Wing next week. Can't wait for the reaction.

Feel free to show us any recent precedence...hell, precedence in general, of the president suing for slander...and add on top of it President Elect Flomax has suggested he would try and open up liable and slander laws to make it easier for people like himself to piss on the press and sue them for coverage he didn't think was appropriate. Which is pretty scary when you consider Flo has a history of suing people for saying things he doesn't like.
