it's one game -- what's Nolasco's status for 2017 ? Isn't he under contract here with us now for 2017 and even into 2018?

that's why we made the deal, I thought.

nice outing but let's not get too excited.........he could be a serviceable rotation guy for us in 2017. Number Four guy.

And I think our number five might be Jered Weaver.

We're going to try to break even next year, 81-81 - that would be an accomplishment.

I see more like 73-89

Again, the more I think of and watch Nolasco, the more my brain does the necessary mental gymnastics to like the trade. We aren't going to be competitive next year and he eats up innings until we are competitive again. And if he does happen to perform well, we could trade him at the deadline for prospects.

And Meyer, who was labeled negatively as a 27 year old injured relief prospect is more accurately a 27 year old former elite prospect than should break into a major league rotation for good next year.

All while Santiago continues his Jekyll and Hyde act in Minnesota.

I legitimately believe we won that trade.

No that's not why we made the trade ... although, Nolasco is under contract through 2017.
