Like all of you, I love the Angels.  This year sucked.  That said, if you lose your number one and two starter, you're going to have a troubling year, regardless of team.  I don't agree with those  who suggest that we are doomed.  We require a left fielder.  We need to decide if  Jeff Bandy is our catcher of the future.  We need to decide if Caleb Cowart is our third baseman.  Can he hit?  If yes, that's a big deal.  We need to get a left fielder from within or from outside.  The Astros don't worry me.  For the Rangers, Darvish is 1 year older as is Hamels.

Houston should worry you. They are loaded with young talent under club control for years to come.

We need more than a LFer. We also need a bullpen, 2-3 starters, a 2B, a long term 3B, and a farm system. That should do it though.

Dodgers lost their entire rotation and their season went in the crapper.

I read recently that Mexicans age slower than other races so maybe not.

Jon Daniels and Thad Levine worry me much more than Jeff Luhnow or Dipoto. 

Daniels seems to always make the right moves and he has a great AGM with him. 

Luhnow has made a few blunders and I can see him totally floundering his options over the next two years. He's been blessed by a rich farm, but he also has dealt a ton away from it without much gain and seems to swing and miss more often than not.

Dipoto, well, we've been there. Dipoto seems to make a lot of lateral moves.

your counter argument to the Angels being doomed is that they "require a LF" and need to make decisions on two mediocre talents. Oh, and that the LF should come from within or outside the organization.
