Yunel Escobar Batting Title?

Escobar has been a pleasant surprise.  Didn't know he could hit this well.  As of today he is 4th in the AL in batting, could he win the AL batting title?

You do realize that Jose Altuve is hitting .355, about 30 points higher than Escobar?

It could happen, but Escobar would have to get hot and Altuve would have to tank. Very unlikely.

Altuve is harkening back to Moe Jorgan's 1976 season.    Can he win the AL MVP?

If he wins the batting title by 30 points and Houston makes the playoffs it will be between him and Donaldson if Toronto makes it.  Trout might actually finish 3rd this year instead of his usual second.
