He doesn't get a lot of 1-2-3 innings but he has the stuff that makes it hard to string hits. As long as he keeps the ball in the yard he's effective. And both he and Guerra have done a nice job in multiple inning appearances.

Mostly like that he brings some heat into the mix. Eppler continues to do a really good job of finding guys like this.

Salas came in last night after we took our first lead, and he promptly surrendered it. To his credit, Scioscia only left him in to give up the one run, and he had seen enough.

Updated: 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 1.78 GB to FB ratio with the Angels 

dunno if this will continue, but I'm starting to trust him more than a lot of the other guys in the pen.

At this point, once Smith is hopefully traded, we will see Ramirez, Guerra, Bedrosian, and Street as the backend of the pen. 

Very rarely do I ever again want to see Tossed Salad in that area of the pen, while pitching here.   And I hope Street finally regains what he had through 2015.

I've been one of the folks willing to give Salas as long a leash as possible, and I'm all about canning him now. Numerous minors guys I would rather see up instead.

Is this sustainable?   He has the stuff (only 1 HR allowed), and has had solid control (only 4 BBs) so far since coming here.

Think I read Nagy tweaked something in his delivery and got him to tighten up something mechanically. Sample size is definitely starting to get large enough for a reliever to believe he's turned some sort of corner.

Jose Valdez in AAA is similar, and he's putting together a dominant stretch there as well.

Add Deolis Guerra (32.1 innings, 2.78 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 23/2 Ks/BBs) to what is forming a nice trio with Bedrosian and Ramirez.
