Report: There’s a chance NHL salary cap could drop below $70M next season

This would be the boom of the dynamite if this were to happen.  Seems pretty doubtful.  But that the threat is there is pretty significant.

Not a chance that happens.  Teams like the Kings, Blackhawks, Rangers, etc would be completely fucked.

Don't know how they can talk about dropping the salary cap and having another expansion team at the same time.

If they gave another amnesty option because the league and NBC loves us big market teams and wouldn't want to see them struggle so much it might help some of the teams.

I can think of one defenseman who is really good that can get an amnesty tag if that were to happen on the Ducks.
