Basketball has such cooler nicknames.

Not sure how russ and harden will mesh... both need to dominate the ball. But maaaaan....that team is going to be fun to watch.

They played together on a team with Durant while only using one basketball. They'll be fine.

I think they will mesh fine. Im just wondering if taking the ball away from either will "lessen" their individual impact.

Like the team will be better, but as individual highlight/focus guys, will they dip a bit?

Harden was a bench player though during his time in OKC with Russ, he only started seven games in three years. They didn’t really play too much together. And now both are stars. We’ll see how they do when they hit a speed bump or losing streak and the media starts playing the blame game and talking about chemistry every chance possible.

I don’t think that is correct. He’s played there three seasons avg. 22, 26, and 31 minutes and also came off the bench for Russ (most of the time). I think his playing minutes are skewed by back to back nights where he would have played more which is evident because of his low start numbers.

Either way we get to see how it plays out. I don’t think it will be wildly successful like others think. Still fun to watch. Seeing what Harden became, seeing those three in OKC would have been something else....granted Harden may not become the player he is being on the bench.

In 2011-2012, Harden and Westbrook were on the court 20 minutes a game together in 62 games (out of 66).

Harden, Westbrook, and Durant were on the court 19 minutes a game together in the same 62 games.

But looks like Harden and Westbrook didn't play at all together in 09-10 or 10-11
