Alvarez sucked. Gave up a 2 run Triple, then IDK how the dude from 3B scored since I stopped watching after that

Kind of how I see it as well unless Trout has a career year and everyone else starts hitting much much better. Hope we sell at the deadline if we are just hovering around .500

That's their problem for thinking this team is in it. Pretty clear this offseason that Arte couldn't stomach shelling out hundreds of millions again when he's already forking over $96 million for 4 dudes who will be probably combine for less than 3 WAR total for this year's team

 

Look at this offense and bullpen. They got about 5-6 holes on this roster with about 2-3 being pretty massive ones. Feels like this year they're pressing the reset button. They made some minor moves to keep the team competitive and likely finish around .500, and they made one move to help shore up an area for the long-term(SS)

 

It's pretty bad that they're in this position during the years they have Trout but that's where they stand. If they didn't have Trout this is probably a bottom 7-8 team/roster in MLB

 

They didn't make any moves to address the long term issues facing this team. In fact the only significant move they made was one that took away future value in exchange for the present.

Bryce Harper is hitting .333 / 7hrs / 20rbi's and it's only April 19th. Trout must be so frustrated playing losing baseball.
