Counter protesters would think twice about confronting 25,000 armed men. That's why it didn't look like Portland.

So they should be afraid of getting shot because they were counter protesting.

Is that what gun owners want? Stay out of my way or get shot? Don't tread on me?

Gun owners want to be able to protect themselves. It's pretty simple. You suck at fishing.

Protect themselves from people who disagree with them? K

Protect themselves from people who wish to harm them. There were 25,000 people at that protest and it was as peaceful as any protest possibly could be. 90% of the people there were armed and yet there was no violence. Maybe legal gun owners aren't the problem?

I agree with everything you just said. I'm very happy nothing happened.

Obviously protecting themselves from people who wish to do them harm is fine. But our argument was about counter protesters and "being afraid" to be there. The point is they shouldn't be.

I'm not talking about Antifa or anything like that (they would have no reason to be there whatsoever).

Why would the counter protesters be afraid though? Nobody was threatening counter protesters. There were a few there btw.

Then I suppose we agree and have nothing left to argue. I took your comments about them not being there as an implication that they were afraid.

Maybe I’m remembering it wrong but didn’t the Dems say no to that stuff during the inquiry? So does that mean the house is guilty of obstruction? This seems like a big waste of time

No to what stuff? They were trying to get Bolton and Mulvaney and pretty much everyone to testify but the President blocked that from happening, because he's innocent.

This whole thing is a joke and it's all just political posturing

No. This is good. There's no way he's going to plant anywhere close to even a billion trees (a trillion is a third of the entire tree population on the planet). But despite his normal stupidity this is good.

How much will it cost? Does this mean Cons can start caring about the environment now?

That should give you plenty enough trees for you to lift your leg on.
