Money, Cubans, Values

NEIFI, has recently done a piece on the costs of Cubans relative to other international players and the overall value of those dollars spent.  Long read but very good...

Neifi is a relatively new site, co-founded by the former manager of baseball R&D for the Milwaukee Brewers and the creator of the Neifi projections.   They have a running leaderboard for added present value this offseason on their front page as it relates to dollars...   it's likely to be a target of criticism but they rank the Angels quite favorably..  http://neifi.co/

And for Jerry fans -- there is this article putting his theories as GM of the M's to some data http://neifi.co/the-mariners-and-identity-theory/

I certainly do expect to see a change in how Cuban ballplayers are treated, maybe even as soon as the next CBA. I'm sure that it's not just the teams and MLBPA that have to work out the kinks, but also Cuban authorities, now that it's OK to talk to them.

I believe this will be a fluid situation for the next few months.

I think what Claude meant is that with the wall on the Mexican Border, the wall that will be built across the Florida Strait (and paid for by the Cubans) will keep the Cubans from being able to get here.

I'm not too worried about a wall.....Everything Trump builds tends to fall apart in the end anyways~

Bring on the Cubans!!!!!!!!!!
