Hamilton is now the most unclutch player in baseball

Recommended Posts

Maybe the problem is that hes too sober.

He needs to start dipping again. Wasn't this a big deal when he was in Texas?

Edit: Here are some articles on it. This is all tongue in cheek by the way.

For explanation of what the "clutch" and "WPA" statistics mean, I've linked to my post on the Kendrick thread:

The MLB least "clutch" player (with qualifying number of plate appearances) 2013 to date is actually Jed Lowrie (last year another Athletic, Josh Reddick, took the nod)

In terms of lowest WPA,

Jeff Keppinger of the Sox is the lowest at -1.28 wins. Complete list of (qualified) Angels by WPA is as follows:

1) Pujols 0.78

2) Kendrick 0.67

3) Trumbo 0.26

4) Bourjos 0.15

5) Trout -0.07

6) Iannetta -0.08

7) Hamilton -0.64

Hamilton is, by far, the lowest on the team. Trout was #1 in WPA in basball last year with 5.5 wins. This year he is hitting into a shocking number of GIDPs so is actually negative.
