Well, it's confirmed. Arrieta and Lester will pitch for the Cubs against the Angels to open the season.

From Patrick Mooney on twitter:

Arrieta threw only 34 pitches last week — and got one out and gave up five runs to the San Francisco Giants — but he believes his arm strength is built up to the point where he will be ready for April 4 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Maddon also confirmed Jon Lester will start Game 2 against the Angels.

You must be pumped.

I'll only be attending games where someone gives me a ticket(s). Looking at all the holes on this team I figure to have 30-40 opportunities to go. The more free tickets I accept the more likely I am to get more free tickets. Might even cancel my cable plan and opt for radio broadcast.

That's the spirit. I get that it takes all types for a message board to be appealing, but I don't get it. If you are passionate enough to spend a ton of time on a message board for your team, then to me it only makes sense to want to see that team play, whether it is live in person or on TV, despite the teams flaws. I don't want that to come accross like a SuperFan on this one, but it is more the mindset of wasting time on here if you aren't going to view the product we talk about.
