Strahan?  Holds the single season sack record, was one of the best DL for a decade.

Won a Super Bowl as a player with the Steelers in '78, leading the team in interceptions, and as a Coach with Indy in 2007 plus a 148-79 (.534) record overall as a coach.

If I'm not mistaken how is jimmy Johnson not in the hall yet? Didn't he build the Cowboys dynasty not to mention he was the first head coach to win a national title and super bowl

Also who isn't in yet (I think) don Coryell. He pretty much invented the vertical offense.

Jimmy Johnson as a NFL coach was 80-64 with two 2 SuperBowls with Dallas so he may be penalized a bit for lack of longevity but he seems Hall worthy.  Who knows?  Also, odds are the NFL doesn't care about NCAA stats.

 

Agree on Coryell.  With the amount of advocates he has pushing for his induction, pretty amazing he hasn't gotten in.  I'd assume its because he doesn't have the sexy SB stats and 3-6 lifetime playoff record but its widely acknowledged what a tremendous influence he had on the game on football...not only on the way its played but the coaches he helped develop.

I believe he got into with Jerry Jones (shocker) then Barry Switzer came in with Johnson's squad for the most part and won a SB.

Yeah, as a Steelers fan, the Tomlin win against the Cardinals with Cower's guys reminded me of Switzer's SB win.
