Definitely one JeDi'd weaker moments as Angels GM. I thought the trade was bad also. We could have had Kendry cheap as well when he went to the Mariners in June '13. Would be nice to have him now wouldn't it ?

I've always been a big fan of Kendry(s), and I wish he were still on the Angels. He'd be a huge upgrade over Cron. 

 

The Mariners had him for 2 seasons only because they traded for him after he signed with the Twins.

Hindsight? It was always a dumb move. We traded a young power hitter with upside, for a pitcher who is a 4 or 5 at best.

Dumb trade by an orginization who makes a habit of getting ripped off by other teams.

Such a shame as a healthy Morales with a Trout, Calhoun and the rest would be killer for us the past couple seasons.

His OPS+ this year was 128.

His best year with the angels was in 2009 with an OPS+ of 139.

 

Outside of the down year last year, he's been pretty consistent. 

He never developed into the elite hitter, but I don't think it was a guarantee before the injury.

Other than this year Kendry would not have been much help. We had Trumbo and Pujols already. Last year he was garbage.

Hated the move from the beginning. Not because I was opposed to trading away a 1B, I was more inclined to trade Trumbo than Morales, and I thought we should've got more n return.
