Let's take this time to appreciate SoCal ticket prices

I'm going to be in Chicago for Christmas this year and decided I'm going to the United Center to watch the Canes take on the Hawks December 27th. I'm getting my tickets on StubHub and I'm looking at $120+ each for 300 level seats!

I paid $80 to sit in the 300 level last year for the Kings banner raising ceremony.

I paid around $120 for these seats and they were great. (Yes, I keep all my tickets. Even if they have Slava Voynov on them  )

Ducks games are even cheaper. $80 got me 4 rows behind the glass and I think I've sat in the upper level for like $30.

Man, aren't we lucky

NY Rangers ticket prices are insane. I used to have season tickets, then half season, then 10 game package. Now I am lucky to go to a few games each season.

My kids are hooked too, but that turns into an $800 dollar nite for crap seats

When a Chicago team is good they sell so damn well.  Before they got good, tickets could be had for $15 or less for almost every game.

Edit...take a look at Cubs NLDS prices compared to Dodgers or Yankees, ****ing insane!

I have been complaining about Blackhawks ticket prices since I moved here.  I am 4.5 hours drive to Minneapolis and 1.5 hours drive to Chicago.  Even with the hotel room and gas its cheaper to go to a Wild game...

I had a similar situation the first year they opened the new Yankee Stadium. I wanted to see the Angels when they came to town, and tried to get good seats. Prices were insane, so I went upstairs. That same summer, we took a vacation to Southern California and went to see the Angels play the Yankees at the big A. It would have cost me more for the good seats at Yankee Stadium than it would have for similar seats in Anaheim PLUS the airfare.
