Oct 2015 > Oct 2014

That 98 win team last season didnt have the character that this years 85 win team did. The 2015 team could've easily tanked after August but somehow found the will to compete until the end. The 2014 team stopped competing after the AL West championship champagne was poured.

Bravo to the 2015 Angels team that didn't quit.

Good write up. I agree it was an exciting season. Frustrated, disappointed both can explain how we feel but you can't be mad. They gave it their all, in the end they just weren't good enough.

No the implication is that the 2014 team turned it off when it needed to keep it going.

2014 team played in the playoffs just like the 2015 did in August.  Slumps happen.  I don't think either team gave up.  The difference is the 2014 slumped at the wrong time and the 2015 team slumped too long of a time.

Yep, 37 games (11-26 record) is longer than a slump should last, even on the high side.

It did indicate a TOTAL lack of depth.

Besides the OBP needing HUGE improvement, Eppler needs to find some depth for 2016.
