tough to say he was the best. That team was stacked in pitching. I mean, was he better than ken hill? Jack mcdowell? Seth etherton? Scott schoenweis? Alan watson?

Seriously, for those of us old enough to remember those days, really think back to how bad we used to be at developing pitching. Dickson had an all star year, if i recall, but that was about it, and he was the big name. But guys like etherton and brian cooper got hype and were never really any good. On the other hand we developed a lot better hitters.

yep. Any season above .500 was great in the 90s
