Best non-playoffs season in a while?

I really hate threads like this.  This team just got embarrassed on national TV.  They blew many many many games that they should have won.  They got swept by horrible teams like the White Sox, and Indians, in an embarrassing month of August with no heart or passion displayed during the entire month.

They fought like heck to make it up in September, but even with all their "heart," they still managed to blow games they should have easily won, and essentially let the worst team in the AL put a dagger on their season, all thanks to errors.

I see absolutely nothing positive about this season.  But to each their own.

Best month of Angels baseball in years, not because it was pretty (it wasn't) but because of the fire.

If they played with that kind of fire all season, it would negate any supposed "talent" issues this team supposedly has.

They wanted it and they played like they wanted it ...for a month.

Pretty frustrating season for me. Every time it looked like they were going to turn the corner, we got butter cupped again. Just brutal.

Indeed, there were fun moments but let's not gloss over how bad some of it was. This August was one of the worst months I can remember. The most amazing thing about this team was how good they were at ****ing things up in unthinkable ways. Plus I think most of us had much bigger expectations than this going into the season. So yeah, there were some positives and some fun times but the prevailing feeling for me is extreme disappointment and frustration.

This was a rollercoaster season. I actually liked this team, more than even last year's team or 2012. Those teams should have made the world series, and the 2012 should have easily won the WS with grienke and weaver in his prime. This team shouldn't have been anywhere close to sniffing the playoffs. They were completely damaged goods. Their offense sucked, the pitching was suspect, no one stepped us an ace, the bullpen was an adventure (with guys like Street calling out the team and then himself choking in 2 huge games), and the drama that surrounded the team since day 1 with the hamilton incident and later DiPoto.

This was a straight up soap opera season but with ugly people. You kinda gotta love it.

We need much better "pre-production" planning for the next episode.
