I've been here since the beginning, so I've seen a lot of posts.  I have no idea how you can differentiate between Lifetime, and guys who never have a positive thing to say. 

 

The only thing Lifetime did was negatively critique posts, and posters.  That's why his ass got booted out of here.

This is how I would differentiate between the two. Negative nellies only affect you if you let them. They are usually here just to vent and that's understandable. They usually dont attack other posts/posters, which is basically as you said all LT did. I know the word "troll" gets thrown around a lot here, but LT was an actual internet troll and apparently that's better than the negative nellies. 

 

Why does it even have to be a choice? One can just say they would prefer to not have either.

I don't care about Napoli or Dipoto as personnel. Napoli is an decent player but his talent is not irreplaceable. Dipoto is a smart guy and I thought he did some good things during his tenure, but smart motivated baseball guys are always coming along and hungry for an opportunity. It's a buyer's market.

My concern is about what the details of their departure say about the team I root for. For Napoli it was that the organization so undervalued his offensive skillset that they could neither get over the obsession with catcher defense, nor (perhaps more importantly) find another solution to keep his bat around. As his detractors enjoy pointing out, he hasn't done much catching since leaving town.

With Jerry, I just don't understand how a guy like that walks away unless things are as bad as all those unnamed sources say. He doesn't seem like that guy. Again, the fact that another organization saw through what fans or the organization considered flaws and he continues to have a career at this level doesn't reflect well on the Angels.

Naps is a shirtless d-bag and the Mariners have not proven to be a successful organization, but neither of those facts absolves the Angels of anything.
