Yogi was one of the last living legends.

 

He was a regular visitor to our local deli, Henry's, for his morning coffee. You could find him almost every morning BS'ing with the guys. He stopped coming around 10 years ago as his health faded quickly. One day he T-boned my friend's car. He just stayed there cracking jokes until the police showed up. Totally his fault, and probably should have stopped driving himself around.

Yogi was the consummate sportsman. He went into the Dodger clubhouse after losing Game 7 of the 1955 World Series and congratulated Johnny Podres, the winning pitcher.
