Anyone who has closely followed baseball, especially since the second WC was established, knows that it isn't the # of games back that is the important #, but the number of TEAMS ahead of you.

Right now there are 2 teams ahead of the Angels for the 2nd WC, with Cleveland only 1/2 game behind, and Seattle (yes Seattle) and TB just behind them.

 

After last nights loss, Baseball Prospectus gives the Angels a whopping 5.9% chance at the 2nd WC.

Thanks for that info.  I knew since multiple teams are involved that our chances weren't good.  Didn't know it was 6%.

After this road trip we'll know exactly where we stand as far as playoff hopes go.

 

OGAAT, Minnesota and Houston are all that matters right now. Bats need to wake up in time to save our season.

It is just so hard to believe in a team that struggles to bring in runners in scoring position the way the Angels do.  This has been a huge problem all year.  They had numerous chances to win the game last night and they blew it every time.
