Anyone have a Chromebook?

In the market for a new laptop, which I'll primarily use for web surfing/Netflix/etc., email, and word processing. Chromebooks look appealing because a) I'm an Android guy and they're so dang inexpensive.

 

Anyone have real experience with one? Thoughts?

I have a chromebook that I use just for those purposes.  Mine is a Samsung and I've had it for a couple of years with no issues.

Not sure about Netflix but it would be fine for the rest.  Only thing about them is their specs are on the low side, basically tablet specs so stuff like HD video on Netflix may suffer but I am not sure.  I love Chromebooks though, they are so much better than tablets.

i have the hp chromebook 11 that came out about two years ago. it plays videos well enough. however, i can't speak for netflix as i always stream through roku or chromecast. 

 

but it's much better for dicking around on angels win than a tablet.

several of my students have had chrome books over the last couple of years. haven't heard any complaints about them so far.
