Have to hope he comes back from surgery like he did in 2013, and slots into the #2 spot (because of no one else here fitting into that spot).

No guarantee that Skaggs will be MLB ready by April 2016, and Tropeano is still not a sure thing as a rotation regular to start 2016.

 

Need to package Santiago to get a 2B (hoping to sign Cespedes for LF).

But if not Cespedes, package Santiago to get a LF and hope that somehow between Giovatella and Kubitza working out at 2B the Halos can get by there.

Yet another big free agent bust.

 

Hardly a bust, he's mostly been a pretty good pitcher for us.  The exception being the 2nd half of last year.  I can get with the argument that he's cost more then he's worth but thats true of basically all FA signings.  Not disappointed at all with the CJ signing, especially when you put it into perspective with other FA pickups.
