8 reasons why the Angels will still make the playoffs

I guess reality hasn't sunk in yet for a few Angelswin fans.

 

Don't get me wrong, I would love for the Halos to make the playoffs....but more importantly, to ADVANCE in the playoffs.  They are not build for an October run. 

 

I commend you for coming up with 8 reason why they will make the playoffs, but I can think of many more reasons why they won't.

 

My feeling is this:  we need to get a World Series win before 2020 or the team will definitely lose potentially one of the best players in the history of the sport.  Trout will walk if he doesn't get a ring here, period.   That my friends, makes me sad.

 

Hopefully a new GM, and potentially a new manager next year (fingers crossed), will shake things up, make intelligent signings in the offseason, and turn this team around.

All they had to do was build some Saturn V's, launch them, then have the crew (possibly consisting of chimps) hang out in orbit for a week and a half and kill time while they sent an unmanned probe to go orbit the moon and come back while broadcasting beacon signals and pre-taped dialog via the radio so that observers from radio telescopes in Russia, Australia, and elsewhere would be tricked into thinking we went to the moon.

To make it be convincing though they had to do the long con and launch 17 fake Apollo missions instead of having the moon landing succeed on the second or third try. That would look too easy.

Not the point. Do governments lie? Are people corrupt? Sure, to the core. And that's what most conspiracy theorists home in on, motives. But the problem with most conspiracies is that for them to be pulled off usually lots of people need to be involved. Take 9/11. What do we know? Two planes hit the buildings. Then they fell down. To some, it doesn't seem feasible. But what's a more plausible alternative? A devious plan? I'm sure some would want to orchestrate something. But how many hundreds or thousands of people would need to be in on it? And have access? Etc., etc. And that is where it all breaks down. Because the one thing you can count on is when lots of people are involved some crack. Maybe on their deathbed, maybe a change of heart along the line but the universal truth is people love to talk.

I spent 45 minutes of my life I won't get back watching a documentary about the moon landing conspiracy. According to some disgruntled Soviet engineer, human life could not survive beyond the Van Allen belts, so landing on the moon was impossible. But the Americans executed a hoax costing billions of dollars to repeatedly actually launch a bunch of people and equipment into orbit, but to secretly only send dummies to the moon.

Still not as painful to watch as Angels baseball this season.

So are you telling me that there hasnt been one credible source that the Twin Towers were taken down via a controlled demolition?  There are eye witness accounts who were there on that day.  Not to mention, the people who made the building said it wouldnt have been possible for them to collapse like that.  Or the owner of the buildings getting a hefty insurance policy about a month before the bombings.  

 

But of course, you wouldnt know that because all you do is watch CNN and take their word as true.  And of course, they arent going to tell you that. Im laughing at you because you claim if such a conspiracy could be true somebody would talk about it.  But in my opinion your pretty clueless, because people are talking about it.  Maybe you just dont know about it or are too lazy to do a google search.

Credible source? I don't know. Credible evidence? Haven't seen anything of any real substance. Maybe I should clarify. People simply talking doesn't really mean anything if it's just chatter and not backed by anything. Eyewitnesses? OK. If your conspiracy blogs say so. There were a few eyewitnesses that saw a couple of passenger planes hit those towers, too. I might even be so bold as to suggest there are few more of them than your so-called eyewitnesses. Just a hunch.

But if these were planned demolitions, how again was that accomplished? Seems like there would have to be quite a few folks involved with some access to quite a few floors for that to happen. Good to know all of those folks kept quiet after 3000 people died. Guess I missed where you addressed that.

Finally, big leap by you there on how I believe everything coming out of CNN. Tell you what. I'll keep believing a network I rarely watch, you keep laughing at my cluelessness and I'll look into this Google thing. Because if I've learned anything it's that the internet doesn't lie. Deal?

BTW, so as not to veer off topic, I believe that all of my previous arguments reinforce Scotty's original point #7 that states that the Angels play the M's and A's 9 more times which are not good Major League Baseball teams. You just have to sift through my words.
