What's going on with Skaggs ?

Other then he won't play this year I haven't heard anything ? Any news on him ? Good or bad ? Seems like he's gonna need to be a key piece for us.

Last I heard, maybe a month ago, was that he really wanted to return this year but the Angels were saying no.

He's been throwing simulated bullpen sessions at "70% intensity" per Alden Gonzales (Aug. 3). He's almost guaranteed to return to be ready by Opening Day 2016.

He might pitch in the instructional league, but he won't be pitching for the Angels. I think he's good to go now, but they're being cautious

Definitely not CJ. CJ was busy convincing everyone that he shouldn't pitch.

Wasn't Skaggs throwing a no-no the day he got hurt in Baltimore. He seemed like he was just finding his groove. Seems like this stuff always happens to the Angels

Yes, I'll never forget that game. It was midway through the 5th inning, I believe.

 

He was at the top of his game that day, and with the way he was pitching he would have earned that no-hitter. I was stunned when he left the game, as the circumstances surrounding his injury seemed innocuous. It's scary how that injury can suddenly creep up on a young pitcher with no warning.

My worry is by 2017 we will have as many as 4 lefty starters (Heaney, Santiago, Newcomb, and Skaggs).

How many teams ever won with so many lefties?
