i had a really long day yesterday and am still tired today. sorry about that, arch.

have you tried the veg burger or the falafel sandwich? how were they?

I love falafel. Even make my own. Everything there is good. The best part is the waffle toasted pita and the sauce they use.

Chuck, great list. I'm at 45. I'm more big city and less nature boy, so the parks and waterscapes I miss out on.

I think I've been to 13 states and 9 countries.

Not too well traveled. Adam, Italy is fantastic. Eric, where is your grandfather from? My family, the non Mexican half, came from Sicily. Did the whole Ellis Island thing.

Lived in Paris for a bit during undergrad (2011) and traveled all over Western Europe during that time. I particularly enjoyed going to Munich for Oktoberfest. I'm too lazy to post the rest right now.

Sac town is a great alternative.

Is SF to europe about the same price as LA? I would think it would be cheaper from down here, or maybe from seattle.

I might be doing the UK in a month or two. Still undecided. Flights are getting cheap though and its time to take some time off. Really wanting to get to eastern europe for a change

i hear rutherford is lovely this time of year. it's worth the hour drive. but stay out of yountville - they're a bunch of snobs.

eastern europe is the sh*t! definitely go if you haven't been.

krakow poland is one of my top 5 favorite cities. budapest is great too.

my parents were in romania last month they said it was fantastic (ive never been).

i dunno how much flights from LA are, ive never done over the pond out of LA.

for this trip im just gonna use amex points, so dont even really know how much it costs.

definitely seems to be cheaper than normal though, like you said.

Loved krakow. Went there to see aushwitz. The people in krakow were great, super friendly. The town square is gorgeous. I love the buglar up in the tower, the story behind it is real cool

Budapest has been at the top of my list forever but cant convince anyone to go. A girl i date on and off just got back from croatia and the pics look insane, wouldnt mind adding that to my list

For me, Italy has some cool things, the food, cafes, the history, but I always found the night life to be lacking. I like how the Germany/Ireland enjoy their drinking, makes things more social. Croatia is similar to Italy in many ways, but seems like people in Croatia party a lot harder, if that's what you are into.

yep totally agree.

but ive already been all over germany and croatia and done the party scene.

this adventure will be with the wife as newlyweds.

we love to party, but i am aiming to drink copious amounts of wine, eat ridiculous food and bop around a gorgeous country neither of us have spent much time in.

thus why i switched gears from oktoberfest. ;) but could be fun to hit it up again next year.

off topic i want to do dia de los muertos in oaxaca eventually, have you even been down there for that festival?
