1) Glad I am addicted to buying tools.  Wire feed welder, compressor, oh I bought a generator once and never used it, it came in handy, hundreds of feet of extension cord

2) ERCOT is not run by the Feds and are not subject to the Jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. We pay for them on our energy bill monthly and are mostly overseen by the Texas Legislature. When Abbott appears on FOX News blaming windmills he is gaslighting and praying at the same time. 

3)  I winterize my vehicles, even in Texas, every year.  Called maintenance.  Deregulation and not winterizing gas, coal or nuclear plants for higher executive profits, i.e. I am running my car on water in the cooling system and not anti-freeze, my engine will seize, their electric grid seized.  Costs to maintain shit. 

4) Windmills did not shut down energy in Texas.  It is about 10% and they were not fully shut down, do the math yourself. Also Nordic countries use wind power .  Those of you who have never traveled there, it gets cold. Texas bought Yugo's, there are turbine blades you can purchase that will withstand harsher temperatures.

5) You believe this shit is the reason you can't heat your pool and have a tiki torch party is windmills head to the village square and listen to the daily reading of the village idiots diary.

Just think of how us Calolfornians feel.  PG&E burns 1/4 of the state down.  They have been sued for billions.  It's just going to get passed to the consumer.
