Yes, which is why Trump should have been impeached long ago.

I personally do not believe that impeachment should be used to remove someone from office for saying stupid shit like Trump did for four years. I fully expect impeachment to be the norm moving forward when the opposite party controls the legislative branch. That is so stupid.  The right thing happened with Trump. Not enough people voted for him and he was removed from office. I would think that would satisfy the left leaning folks here.

If he would have told his cult that and just left then the right thing happened with Trump. He told his cult he won in the biggest landslide ever and it was stolen so they bum rushed the Capitol.  That is why he is being impeached, not accepting not enough people voted for him.  If he did the right thing there would be no impeachment. I would hope that satisfies the right leaning folks here.

I fully agree that his handling of the elections results was absolutely stupid and if you want to state his rhetoric fuels his followers then that is fair. I no longer give a shit about Trump or what happens to him but to impeach him for what some of his followers did is not what impeachment is for. I believe a lot of rhetoric from both sides is what has fueled much of the violence and division that we’ve seen over the past few years. I do believe that Trump, BLM and all the others that say stupid shit have the right to do so, even if their supporters or haters can’t deal with it properly. IMO this case is setting up precedent to use impeachment as a political weapon in the future and that would be a shame. I’m not defending Trump as he has zero impact on my life but I do care about our political processes moving forward

You're right and his D is up next and they will use BLM and Antifa videos the same way as was used against him and the shit show just continues.

Meh, if any of them had been "fired" from a TV series, I wouldn't care.

James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy director) was fired from the series after a bunch of MAGA bros dug up some of his old tweets.

Regarding James Gunn, I read his tweets and I can't blame Disney/Marvel Studios for firing him. I dont like how it went down as political retaliation but when your business model is built on being family friendly I can see why they would want to distance themselves from him.

Yes and he also ended up getting another directing job with Suicide Squad out of it.

Exactly, so all this talk of business model being family friendly is total BS.  It's all about the money.

Person A will only bring in $, so if they mouth off, they are gone.

Person B can be a pedo, but they bring in $$$$$, so he'll be brought back when that $$$$$ is threatened to become $$.

It's the hypocritical nature of Hollywood that is hero worshipped.

I don't know what went into the final decision to rehire James Gunn. I know the cast of GOTG went to bat for him so that may have played a big role in their decision.

For me I personally I honestly don't care. If Disney decided to rehire that mma chick back that's fine with me. I'm going to watch season 3 regardless.

It would be nice for people to speak up when this happens so it's easier to investigate these creeps. I think most people are onto them now and will believe their victims. As for Eliza Dushku, she's hot AF.

Why do you think they don't speak up sooner?

Probably for the same reasons most victims do not. I just wish there was a way to stop these type of people. I think people will be more inclined to believe them now as so much as come to light in recent years.

This seems logical, but it's not the reality. Women (and men) who speak up against their abusers, even right away, are often disbelieved and retaliated against.

Especially in the entertainment industry.  You speak up, and you may never work again.

Why guys like Weinstein got away with it for so many years.  Things have changed in the last few years.  Which is helping people who suffered from it decades ago to speak up.

Heck, it's so well known, yet in the shadows, that a whole porn genre came out of it.  The black leather casting couch.

Pete Hegseth reacts after Dem named to House leadership role

Ilhan Omar, 38, now in her second term in Congress after initially being elected in 2018 and then reelected last year, has been named vice chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s subcommittee on Africa and global human rights issues. The Democrat is a native of Somalia who emigrated to the U.S. with her family as a teenager.

Hegseth, a former officer in the Army National Guard, called Omar’s new assignment "absurd," given her past comments that have been critical of the U.S. government in which she serves.

"The idea that Ilhan Omar is even on the foreign affairs, foreign relations committee, is absurd," Hegseth said. " Now she’s a vice chair of a subcommittee … This is the modern-day Democrat Party – anti-Americanism writ large."

Hegseth then recounted some past controversies involving Omar, including her "Some people did something" comment about 9/11, other remarks about the "Black Hawk down" tragedy in Somalia that involved U.S. service members and her "all about the Benjamins" quote about Israel.

"We know who she is. … Her view of foreign policy is, it’s all Jewish-financed American imperialism. We’re the problem in the world," Hegseth said.

"Minnesota welcomed her, housed her, fed her, educated her, empowered her, elevated her and then elected her," Hegseth said, "and ultimately when she sees the United States, she sees a racist, oppressive or torturous country. When she looks back at Somalia, it’s blissful. Those are her words, not mine.

"And unfortunately … her district in Minnesota has sent more of its residents to go fight with ISIS, on their side, than any other district in America. … So she’s got a little bit of a terrorism problem in her backyard that she hasn’t addressed. But you can ‘fail up’ in the United States House – and get a vice chairmanship."

She hates America and all it's done for her.

But the libs love her.

Strange, but that is the view on the far left now.
