Our entire society, evangelicals included, has a very ignorant understanding of domestic abuse. Emotional abuse has been scientifically proven to be just as damaging to victims as physical and sexual abuse.

It's very sad and strange that Trump's DOJ would narrow of the definition of domestic violence.

unfortunately, it’s par for the course and not strange.  On almost every issue Trump will and has come down on the side of perverse and unnecessary cruelty.  Him and the rest of the conservatives.  It’s built into the DNA of the ideology.

This new dumbassery to weaken domestic violence shit doesn’t have anything to do with Christians specifically  and the status of women in the west doesn’t have a lot to do with Christianity at all.  We can look to the entirety of Christian Latin world to see that.
