Did you read the article?

yes, i did. i'm glad to see the courts are involved.

what i haven't seen or heard is anyone in congress suggesting a different way to handle all of the people coming across the border, short of just throwing the door wide open and letting anyone and everyone come in without any kind of process being followed.

i don't like that this is happening. i don't like that it isn't being fixed by people who have the authority to do something about it.

That's kind of deflection (Deflection!) though, isn't it?

There's an immigration problem, sure, but I know we can both agree that the answer isn't treating people like animals in literal concentration camps. The answer to THAT problem is pretty damn simple. There's no ifs ands or buts about it.

We have to send the right message to these deadbeats. If you're thinking of seeking asylum in the "Land Of Opportunity" your kids will be treated like Turkish prisoners

You've obviously never seen Midnight Express

Funny how the fwd; fwd; fwd guys get all defensive

Ha, to be fair, I usually call out "fwd: fwd: fwd:" in response to a Breitbart article. A tweet shouldn't be discredited because it links to an article in the NY Times (a legitimate news source).

Not deflecting at all. I’m not happy with how people and kids are being treated.

I still want to see an Ellis Island place or 3 or 4 set up as places for immigrants to go thru to enter the country. It worked well and we didn’t have this kind of chaos like we do today.

I saw that the courts are now involved. Good. Let’s make these places as humane as possible. But better yet, let’s fix this system so that detention centers are no longer needed.

You want an Ellis Island yet you want a humane place? Have you ever been to Ellis Island? IMO dems would not think that treatment would be humane.
