He's 22 years old and has averaged over 90 pitches a start this year. He was at 61 pitches.

Of course it's awesome for him, and it's awesome for the fans. The organization could care less, all they're worried about is him showing progress and keeping him healthy.

you were closer than I thought the real number was.  I looked at his game score of 82.  Odd if they pulled him after 64 pitches considering he's throw up to 106 and over 100 a few times.  

 

confirmed by Fletcher on twitter that he was take out after 64 pitches and he's not hurt.
