What do you hope happens? I would be all for a complete overhaul and letting the new GM, whoever that is, have the majority of control over the franchise. Unfortunately, that means Arte has to stop pretending he knows anything about what is best for the team.

I'm usually a Scioscia supporter but it's time for him to go. It just is. Doesn't mean he is a bad manager or that whomever comes in will be better. His time has just run its course. It happens. Arte needs to man up and realize this.

 

Everyone needs to go, honestly. Hire a new GM, and let them rework the team.

I applaud you all for actually trying to watch these games. One quick glance at the box score helps remind me that I'm not missing a thing.

 

As is the case with this team vs any playoff team, they're completely overmatched. They become on par with the Phillies whenever they have to face playoff teams

This is essentially how I feel, though with a bit more resentment towards Scioscia for a variety of reason that I won't get into on the gameday thread. I don't blame this season on him though as the team is just not very good, but if there is any truth to the scouting reports not being instituted or outright ignored by the coaching staff, than he definitely needs to go.
