Weaver appreciation thread

Last night was fantastic.

As unwatchable as this team can be, I always love watching Weaver bring it.

It was the white sox

 

No doubt you'll be the first to remind people "it's the Blue Jays" if Weaver were to allow 7 runs in a game .vs them -- right?

The Jays are a fastball hitting team. Weaver is the perfect guy to pitch against them as long as he's hitting his spots.

If he's out of time and/or having control issues, then it could be ugly.

i'll gladly eat a little crow on Weaver. I thought he was toast, he is proving me wrong.

1. Weaver is now no better than a solid #4 starter.

 

2. Weaver is one of my five or so favorite Angels of the past decade, maybe all-time.

 

Those two statements are not mutually exclusive.

I am probably one of the stronger advocates of Weaver on this site, and no I'll never give up on him, even when his velocity tops out at 86.

 

Guy goes out there to compete every single start, and that's pretty much all you can ask for.

 

He probably won't give up baseball until his arm is about to fall off.

 

Glad to see a good outing from him.
