come on QM.  Troy Glaus was a beast. His hit was in the 8th inning of world series game six with the halos down 3-2 in the series and having been down 5-0.  It capped off one of the biggest comebacks in a world series game to stave off elim in the history of baseball.  

 

Cron hit a 2 run double in a regular season game in a very improbable come back win.  

 

while impressive, it's not really comparable.  

 

Plus, Cron is nothing close to Glaus in terms of ability.

Ha maybe so, but with how pathetic the offense has been, he needs to be playing everyday for the time being. He has a career .717 OPS against RHP. While those numbers aren't great, it's much better than what Victorino/DeJesus are contributing. Put Murphy in LF full time also. I know he sucks defensively but we desperately need our best bats in the lineup everyday.

I think CJ Cron is going to end up being like Erick Aybar with power, at least from an offensive standpoint. The batting average will be decent, the OBP won't be there, but I think he'll hit 30 DB 25 HR's eventually.

Glaus wasn't that great. Had a nice few seasons as an Angel. The juice was good to that kid.

Strange as it may seem, Scott Spezio had as many RBIs (8) as Troy Glaus in the 2002 World Series. 

 

Bengie Gill had the highest OPS at 1.800.

It's amazing to look back at steroid era statistics. In 1999, he had 29 homers and a .781 OPS. Not great numbers, but an OPS of that from an Angels third basemen today would probably translate to an OPS+ of around 120. Glaus' was 98 that season, or slightly below average for an Angels third baseman.
