Last nights win pretty much ensures we won't score a run the rest of the series.

Obvious move but I figured it was 50-50 that Featherstick126 was going to bat.

Featherstone's time will be over in a couple of weeks.  After September 1st we will have sufficient reserves to make his presence worthless except perhaps as a pinch runner.  Kubitza and hopefully Cowart will be here to fill out the infield if needed.

Gave up around 6th / 7th.  Turned the TV on about the 8th.  Was going to run an errand for the wifey.  Kept telling the wifey something is going on, have to watch, errand has to wait.

I turned on the game with the Royals up 5-1. I almost turned it off, but I decided to watch it. When the Angels closed it to 5-3 in the eighth, I thought that at least it looks better than 5-1. The ninth inning rally was epic. When the Angels had two on and Featherbat due to come to the plate, I was sure that Scioscia was going to let him hit. If we're going to criticize the Big Catorce when he does something dumb, we need to give him credit when he makes the right move. Sending C. J. Cron up to hit for Featherston was huge. It was absolutely the right move - and I would say that even if Cron (in a great piece of hitting) hadn't gotten the double that tied the game. He made the move knowing that it was going to screw up his defense for the last half inning (with Pujols at third and Calhoun at first). He went for the win, even knowing that the defensive alignment that it would necessitate in the ninth might cost him.
